New York - USA ; July 2012

View from the Empire State Building rooftop!
Hi everyone, I am really sorry I have been really busy during these holidays and now i'm going back to school... So today I wanted to share with you my readers a bunch of photos of my last trip to the USA. I have to say that I was disappointed of New-York, and I didn't find it "soooo amazing" like everyone say. I think I just enjoyed Times Square, it's a special and crowded place. To find a shop I think I had to search 10 minutes and walk around 30 minutes to find it, so it was kindda complicated! I also didn't shop that much, my best picks was a pair of Jeffrey Campbell booties the Spiked Lita (Seen and wanted by many bloggers) and a pair of Burberry rain boots. My favourite shopping place was the Short Hills Mall for sure, chic and luxurious, it reminds me the Burjumann Mall in Dubai. During my vacations I stayed in a good host family in the New-Jersey at Short Hills exactly, to perfectionate my English. For the moment I don't think I will go back soon to the USA. Well, I hope you will like my photos!

And you, where did you travelled this summer?

Lots of love x . F

Introducing : NIFTEE!

Hi everyone! I discovered few months ago an Emirati brand, Niftee, which I found really cute and super original and it really caught my eyes. So I thought that I had to share it with you and introduce it to all my readers. The designer behind the brand is Aljoud Lootah, I can say that she's very nice and sweet. She recently collaborate with Repetto (my favourite ballet flats brand!), and her project, the Burqa'a Repetto, is totally to die for! Niftee has personalised blanket & shawls in cashmere, jumpsuit, oversized dress, iPhone 4 cover & more...

The History:

It all started in 2007, when Aljoud Lootah was required to work on a graduation project at college which would display her skills in graphic design. With a passion for arts and fashion, Aljoud chose to establish a fashion with a desire to combine both in order to create something different.

She did a little bit of market research and found a definite demand in for what she planned to work on. She started out by choosing a brand name: "Niftee" then designed the corporate identity and worked on developing a concept for a collection of t-shirts. Her debut t-shirt collection in exotic shades of aubergine, sapphire and topaz was a combination of modern illustrations and traditional embroidery; when both were combined, they would form a shape that is usually found on the traditional dresses worn by women in the UAE. Given the immediate reaction from her family, friends, fellow students, instructors at college, how everyone was so impressed by the quality, creativity, how fashion-forward the tees were, and with orders streaming in, Aljoud decided to take it more seriously and think about it as a business rather than a graduation project.
She quickly decided to design more t-shirts for ladies, and developed a complementary website and packaging strategy.
Following this initial collection, Aljoud Lootah's collections have continued to gather momentum, cementing her reputation as an Emirati contemporary young designer with the future in the palm of her hand.
Since the start of Niftee in 2007, the brand was commissioned to produce items for special organizations as well as other social-conscious, pro bono work.
At the young age of 4, Niftee has managed to stand out as a leading label for well designed, iconic pieces with more to give with every season to come.
Niftee has also launched a line of menswear, Individualized personalized cashmere shawls and blankets, and created patterns that were printed on a plethora of silk and cotton fabrics, while overseeing every aspect of the production herself.

Introducing : AILA!

Hello my beauties! I apologize for the lack of post, but I have been busy, spending the beginning of the holidays with my boyfriend these couple of weeks. Well, today I wanna introduce you a Kuwaiti brand which caught my eyes! AILA is a brand created by Amal Khourshid. We can find clutches, shoulder-bags and even a tote. These bags are handmade in Lebanon with genuine leather from Italy. AILA has been recently launched (just few days ago!) on, hurry up ladies its exclusive for this website!

Amal Khourshid's biography:
"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous"
- Coco Chanel

A Kuwaiti of Palestinian origin, Amal Khourshid's mind has swarmed with all things fashion since childhood. Now based in the heart of Beirut, her life revolves around her two greatest loves - fashion and family.

It was one day in 2007, whilst working in investments, that Amal decided to create her perfect bag.  A fan of brightly coloured bags made with exotic skin, it seemed only natural that the bag Amal decided to make was an elegant python clutch.  The result was so well received by friends and family that she was inspired, and AILA was born.  Today, AILA is a brand of bags that are synonymous with femininity, glamour and sophistication.  Born out of passion, these bags reflect this with their colour and flamboyance.  Using original designs and fabrics, Amal crafts high quality leather and snakeskin bags and clutches, and small leather goods.

For Amal, personal style speaks volumes about a person.  Fashion is meaningful and deep, and allows a person to express themselves freely, and central to this, for Amal, is the bag.  A firm believer in mixing that which is timeless and classic in fashion with 'on-trend' items, Amal cites Grace Kelly as her style icon for her ability to exude elegance and purity through her clothes.

AILA is a brand to watch.  As Amal continues to translate her passion for fashion into designs, so fashion savvy ladies around the globe continue to desire her bags, in their clutches.
